TECTRE: Passionate About Diversity

COURSE OVERVIEW

Interviewing without Bias

When managers begin to understand the impacts of Unconscious Bias in the workforce they also recognise that recruiting and interviewing are really challenged by stereotypes and personal bias.  This workshop explores the elements of an inclusive interview process and offers managers and team leaders a place to reflect on how personal biases can impact candidate selection.  They make the link between recruiting and interviewing, and the selection of monochrome teams.  With insightful group work and discussion, the participants examine the elements of the recruitment process that are subject to the most bias, and take on board the processes, procedures and personal tweaks that help to manage bias during staff selection.  This ensures that companies can reap the benfits of positive action campaigns and attract truely diverse teams.

This is a thoroughly interactive course. Through teamwork, discussion, debate, exercise, and thoughtful learning on good practice and process, the team will be able to identify ways to ensure that you are interviewing and recruiting to access to the broadest  and most diverse talentpool.
