TECTRE: Passionate About Diversity

COURSE OVERVIEW

Unconscious Bias - Exploring new ways of thinking

Unchecked Unconscious or Implicit Biases (UB) in the workplace can lead to poor outcomes on the balance sheet and can have negative effects on the processes of innovation. This bold statement is supported and mirrored by a growing body of research which suggests that organisations which don't encourage diversity at the executive level risk the return on equity, earnings and share price. By extension, diversity needs to be encouraged within the staff pipeline to ensure effective and beneficial succession planning for the leadership team.  If honestly held entrenched attitudes are getting in the way, training about the personal biases we all naturally hold can help.
