COURSE OVERVIEW

Micro Inequities – Resolving Toxic Cultures at Work

Micro Inequities, a term coined by Mary Rowe in the 1970s, are the subtle and ‘ephemeral’ little disrespectful moments in your working life. The moments when you aren’t heard or feel particularly unvalued. Work cultures can suffer enormously because of unchecked micro-inequities, and often managers, team leaders and colleagues are unaware of the impact of their behaviours on others. Encouraging managers to understand the concepts around micro inequities and their impact on working cultures can help an organisation address such things as attrition in specific minority groups. This micro inequity workshop offers an outline of the concepts with practical exercises to embed the understanding, and offers pragmatic solutions for the workplace
